Back around 2022 I had been feeling like I wanted to take more photos of things in my life, because I hadn't been very much up until then. At the same time I was really focusing on getting away from social media and breaking habits around my phone, so I really didn't want to have a phone up in my face to take photos, especially in social situations because it feels like it really takes me out of the moment. I felt strongly about not having any kind of screen in my face so I also didn't want a modern digital camera, so I thought I'd pick up this little reusable disposable type film camera and mess around with it.
To say I got hooked on film photography is an understatement. Within a couple months I had like a dozen vintage and antique cameras, and a whole darkroom setup and was making my own enlargements. I really dove headfirst into it as a hobby, and maybe it got a bit out of hand. I also around this time attended my first Polacon and met a ton of people into instant film photography, which I was also starting to get into. Now photography is a full on obsession for me. I enjoy shooting landscapes and architecture, and I like portraits a lot but I'm not that good at them yet.
